The Mediterranean coast  of Turkeyis generally regarded as the Turquoise coast and boasts miles and miles of unspoilt beaches surrounded by warm clear water.

Alanya, once a small, quiet town favoured by sultans on vacation, it's now a large and fast-growing resort for package-tour beach-goers. The promontory at the centre of Alanya is topped by a dramatic Seljuk fortress. The beaches of Alanya are extensive.

Side is well known for its long and sandy beaches. Surrounding the old city of Side there are two major beaches, one is the east beach and the other is the west beach. The old town of Side is a joy with the ancient roman ruins mixed in between bars, restaurants and shops. The main area of the town is pedestrianised and it's a wonderful place to visit in the early evening to window shop, buy some bargains, have a drink or grab a bite to eat. Side has a great atmosphere but it can get busy in the height of the season.

Belek is a large resort town that has been developed specifically for tourism and has spread to encompass the neighbouring village of Kadriye. Having over three hundred days of sunshine annually, warm clear waters, several fine golf courses, as well as a range of other sports both in and out of the water, Belek attracts many thousands of visitors every year.

Kalkan possesses a good selection of bars catering to both pre dinner clientele and stylish and atmospheric Blues and Jazz bars for later in the evening. Kalkan boasts a multitude of excellent roof-top restaurants offering all manner of culinary delights. The narrow streets twist down to the harbour, which is the focus of the village and here you can enjoy a meal whilst watching the world go by. Kalkan is well positioned for those who enjoy something other than relaxing poolside. The town itself has a small pebble beach, however sandy beaches nearby are accessible by water taxi or dolmus (local bus). A ten minute journey takes you to Kaputas beach - a stunning beach dramatically positioned at the foot of a ravine, or visit breathtaking 18Km Patara beach 25 minutes from Kalkan.
