Denia and Javea area -
The Marina Alta area extends from Altea in the south to Denia in the north and has some of the most beautiful countryside in Spain. The countryside ranges from secluded coves and beaches with crystal clear waters to spectacular mountain ranges reaching over 4000 feet!
The area is easily accessible from both Alicante and Valencia airports via the excellent motorway system taking around an hour to reach the centre of the region.
Denia, a fishing town with an international flavour is on one of the most beautiful coasts of Spain, the Costa Blanca. Its enormous beaches, miles and miles of fine sand, are ideal for water sports and other recreational activities.
Javea is a traditional Spanish town on the northern Costa Blanca. The main village of Javea is centred around the church and the central market, with the freshest fish meat and vegetables. Narrow streets and paths lead off in all directions to the many small shops, bars and restaurants.
Moraira is a small town which still retains the village feeling.
A newly completed promenade runs from the southern tip of the bay along behind the beach and past the castle right into the town and on to the large marina. There are many fine restaurants, bars and shops to browse.

Calpe is famous for the Peñón d'Ifach, a huge rock outcrop rising out of the sea. The Penon d'Ifach, which is 332 m high, can almost be compared to the sugar loaf in Rio: the mountain Ifach is the landmark of the Costa Blanca. The Moors named it the "northern rock', in contrast to its counterpart, the "southern rock" of Gibraltar.
